The Structural Funds and the Cohesion Funds (ESI Funds) are financial tools, managed by the European Commission and set up to implement the regional policy of the European Union. They aim to build a solid European economy by reducing regional disparities in income, wealth and opportunities.
Between 2007-2013, Romania received ESI Funds that were used to implement 7 sectorial and regional operational programs. One of those programs was POSDRU – Human Resources Development Sectorial Operational Program. The POSDRU project aimed to developpe the human capital and to increase competitiveness by correlating education with the labor market and creating the proper context so the 1.650.000 people targeted in this project could be integrated into a modern, flexible and inclusive labor market.
In 2015, we have organized and implemented within the POSDRU project 2 campaigns with the purpose of improving the labor market participation and to promote the social inclusion of 1.100 people from vulnerable groups.
